1. Conference Venue and Accommodation

SQST 2026 will be hosted at Centara Life Maris Resort Jomtien, Chonburi, Thailand, which offers two fully equipped conference halls and accommodation. See more detail at the hotel's website or via Google Map location

For accommodation, we highly recommend the convenience of staying at the conference hotel. We have secured a number of rooms with discounted rates, which can be booked at the time of registration.

2. Transportation to Jomtien:

For international arrival, we recommend two major airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok. We will provide local transportation (2 hour bus ride) for all participants, from BKK and DMK to the conference hotel. Bus schedules will be available on 17th and 21st May 2026, which will be announced closer to the conference dates.

For those who miss the bus or would like to travel on their own, there are local bus services available for purchase at both airports.

3. Visa entry to Thailand

Before traveling to Thailand, please check the visa requirements https://www.thaievisa.go.th. In some cases, you might need invitation letters as part of the visa application process. Please contact us if you need an invitation letter once your registration is confirmed.

4. Weather Considerations

When planning your trip, take into account the weather conditions in Chonburi in May. This month marks the beginning of the rainy season, bringing hot and humid conditions with occasional tropical showers, often in the late afternoon or evening. Daytime temperatures typically reach around 33–35°C (91–95°F), while nighttime temperatures remain warm at about 26–28°C (79–82°F). The sea temperature stays comfortably warm at approximately 29–30°C (84–86°F), making it suitable for swimming and water activities. While brief downpours are common, there are still plenty of sunny intervals for beach outings and coastal exploration.

5. Local Tips
